It's been a long time since I have posted anything on the blog, a bit too long! Where have I been? Even I have been wondering about where I have been the last 3 months? And the answer is pretty simple! HOME! Or, maybe more correctly in my HOMES! Trying to be a good mom, wife, daughter and daughter in law, because that's the most important thing in my life. Balancing these roles with the energy level I have can simply mean that I have to put aside some things till I have more time and energy.
This time the thing I had to put aside was my blog. Specially since I haven't had access to wifi internet for a while (2 months!) and working through the great mobile 3G internet takes so much more time then a speedy wifi. Today, I just couldn't resist, and here I am working through the slow 3G, hoping to share some glimpse from our life the past 2-3 months.
(Top right, middle right and bottom middle pictures are from our little country far up north.)
We came back in Nawrooz, the Iranian new year, and moved house the day after we landed! The bottom right picture shows what we came back to. Half the house packed into boxes by my dear husband and my cousins. Thank you!
The top left picture is from our new neighborhood. This is the new main road, and luckily its quiter where we live then further up the same road. Since our apartment complex is the last building in the street, its minimum traffic and our little one can examine all the parked cars in peace. Yeah, he is obsessed by cars these days! It can take me 15 minutes to walk 30 meters if its cars parked along the road, so I am being tested in being patience.
The top middle picture is the veiw from our balcony. From here we can see "Gulzar e shuhadah" (the flag is located there), which is where most of the martyrs from the Iran Iraq war are burried. These martyrs died defending the country and the islamic revolution from Iraq who was backed by foreign powers. Its a really nice place to go for getting some peace of mind and a beautiful reminder of where we will end up one day.
Middle right picture is from midnight writing sitting in between the banana boxes after moving. I was lucky to get the chance to write a small article about life in Qom for the 313 magazine from Norway. It's a great islamic magazine in norwegian with lots of inspiring articles published twice a year.My little attempt on writing an article will be published in the next magazine, which will be coming out very soon. So if you are an Scandinavian, please try to get yourself a copy cause it's really a nice magazine and you will probably benefit from it!
I will end the post with sharing the news that I have been blessed with a beautiful niece! Our little Mariam is absolutely adorable!
I would recommend to buy the book in the picture in the middle, which I gifted my sister before she became a mom. Its just lovely!
(Big thanks to my qomi sister who helped me get the book.)
Thank you for visiting the blog. See you soon.
